Vacancies

We are a non contesting but hard working band. We have a good social side and a very good summer programme of engagements.

We do pride ourselves on keeping a fairly full membership most of the time but the following vacancies are currently available.

CORNET PLAYERS

A band should consist of ten cornet players so we are always looking for players to make up the numbers. Any position can be offered depending on where you would like to sit. A soprano (Eb) is also welcome.

HORN PLAYERS

We would like to strengthen our horn section as a lot of the new music we play calls for quite heavy horn parts and it is lovely to build up the middle of the band.

BASS TROMBONE

A bass trombone is needed to complete our trombone section. Don't worry if you only play treble/tenor clef as our other trombone player can swap over.

BBb BASS PLAYER

Whilst we have 3 EEb bass players it is always nice to have a full time BBb player to make up the bass section. An instrument can be provided if needbe. With the music written nowadays you get a lot more than just 'on beats'!!

As we said before all players are welcome to apply whether we have a vacancy or not as some positions can double up.
